Meet the IDtc Athletes

Megan Rolland is one of the original IDtc members and has been training in Boise for 3 years now.  Megan graduated from Humboldt State University with a degree in Nursing.  She pursued a full-time nursing position post graduation but decided to go after her running dreams in 2015. She switched to work as a part-time nurse and began to train full time. The switch has certainly paid off. Since college she has dropped close to 1 minute off her steeplechase PR and was 7th at the US Olympic Trials in 2016.  She most recently qualified to represent Team USA at the NACAC Cross Country Championships in Florida in March of 2017.

Alycia Butterworth joined IDtc in the Fall of 2015, she graduated from University of Idaho in the Spring of 2015.  Alycia was a four-time NCAA Preliminary Championship qualifier and one-time NCAA Semi-Finals qualifier. She was a two-time conference champion and four-time runner-up. Alycia is originally from Parksville, BC, Canada and holds the fourth fastest 3000m steeplechase time in Canadian history. She qualified for the 2016 Canadian Olympic Trials in the 3000m Steeplechase and took 5th, missing the Olympic team by 2 spots.  Her goal this summer is to compete at the World Championships.

Marisa Howard joined IDtc in the Fall of 2016.  She graduated from Boise State in the Spring of 2015 with a degree in Nursing and currently works part-time as a school nurse, while still pursuing her running dreams.  Marisa was a three-time All-American and was the NCAA Runner-up in the Steeplechase in June 2014.  Marisa currently holds the 6th fastest NCAA Steeplechase time ever. She qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials. She most recently was selected to compete for Team USA on a Co-ed Relay at the World Cross Country Championships in March of 2017.

Greg Montgomery was a ten time All-American at the College of Idaho in both cross-country and Track and Field. Since college he has represented Team USA in international competitions including the Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country Championship (2014) and NACAC Championship in Tobago (2014) placing 12th and 3rd respectively.

Hillary Holt graduated from the College of Idaho in 2014. During her time at there she was an eleven-time NAIA National Champion. In 2013 she won the Oregon Twilight in 4:11 to punch her ticket to the USA outdoor championships where she was one of only three collegiate athletes to make the 1500m final. In 2014 she represented Team USA at the NACAC championships where she won a silver medal in the 1500. She currently helps out at her old high school, Mountain View in Meridian, where she most recently helped coach the XC team to a dominating 2016 state championship performance, including coaching the Idaho Gatorade Runner of the Year.

Sora Klopfenstein has been a part of IDtc since the birth, in Fall of 2014. Like Hillary and Greg, Sora also ran for Pat at The College of Idaho. Collegiately, she earned the 2013 NAIA National title in the steeplechase and was nine-time All American in track and cross country. During the 2014  USA Cross Country Championships, Sora earned a position to compete for team USA in Venezuela at the Pan-American Cross Country Championships.
